Losing Weight the Natural Way

Nobody likes to have an out of shape, disease infested and bloated body.  We dream of having a healthy, toned and attractive physical appearance. Yet, many of us are fat, unhealthy and tired.  The need of the hour is to fight obesity individually and collectively and root out the menace from our midst.

History tells us that most our ancestors had athletic and healthy bodies due to their existential lifestyles.  But we, their most enlightened successors, do not have the basic health requirements needed for a healthy existence.  The present day rat race has deprived us of enough time, energy and inclination to follow healthy lifestyles.  The end result is that obesity is spreading throughout all regions of the world in pandemic proportions.

We have devised hundreds of different tactics to fight the problem, but the effectiveness of each of these differs from person to person, region to region.  For example, the weight loss regimes suited for people living in cold climates may not be effective or advisable for people of tropical lands and vice versa.  Likewise, the weight loss measures adopted for a genetically obese person would invariably be unsuitable for a person with defective eating habits.

We cannot return to the way of life led by our grandfathers and grandmothers.  But nor can we continue the way we are living today.  We have to devise a balanced lifestyle that suits our present day circumstances and our physical requirements.  Then only can we gain a healthy physique and a resultant vigorous psyche. There is no substitute for personal interest and persistence here.

First of all, you should desire to have a toned and shapely body.  This desire should be followed by action.  Throw off your lethargic and unproductive existence.  Understand your body mass index and analyze how far you have exceeded the admissible limits.  Start eating healthy and natural foods.  Add more fiber in your diet.  Avoid fatty foods.  Beat temptation.  Exercise regularly. If needed, take weight loss supplements available in the market after proper checks and analysis.  Be persistent in your efforts.  

Following the above mentioned steps without fail is the recipe of a happy and successful life.  Excess body fat is the cause of a number of deadly diseases.  The emphasis of weight loss is to burn away excess fat and return to normal weight levels.  You need to persist in your efforts even after your weight reduction regime is stopped.  Otherwise, you may end up gaining more weight that you lost.  It would be very hard to reduce such returned body weight as both your mind and body may not be able or willing to take the pounding a second time.

People in the health field have always cautioned about the health effects of obesity.  With the ailment gaining gargantuan proportions now, it is high time that we started the fight in real earnest.  Unless this is done, our carefully evolved human civilization itself is in danger of loosing its moorings.  So please start today at your personal level by deciding that you would not remain fat and unproductive.
